Words are Powerful.

Words are Powerful.
I have a passion for the written word. After all, the written word is the greatest motivator known to man. The right words can make a crowded theatre applaud an unknown understudy; can make an audience laugh until their sides hurt or readers cry until their faces swell.
Words evoke emotions and when they do, great things happen.
People sit up and pay attention. They want more. They read more. They learn more. They buy more.
Words are also powerful.
Pack too many of them on a page and you lose the reader. Mix your metaphors and you lose credibility. Spell one wrong and you lose the sale. Words have a rhythm and a cadence; they have a beat and a rhyme. They make a point and evoke a memory. [Transition to next paragraph here…?]
Words Matter to Me.
I’ve loved the written word since I first tried to write a 500-word essay down in my black and white marble notebook in seventh grade English class. I still remember my teacher reading it aloud to the class. From then on, I became not only an avid reader of great literature (and for full disclosure, even not so great literature) but I developed the courage to write in high school and graduated college with a degree in English Literature.
Today, I like to call myself a web content maven, writer, editor, and blogger who has “…helped federal government agencies and private industry clients effectively develop and produce high-quality creative solutions that meet their individual business objectives and strategic goals.”
Jargon Translation: I’ve helped my clients get their products and brands noticed without getting in trouble with their clients, customers, board of directors or even their shareholders.
